About MUSIC with MUMMY
MUSIC with MUMMY was established in 1992 and provides a system of education about music and education through music for the pre-school child. It is run by carefully selected agents, who are trained to use the material that has been specially prepared for their very young pupils. The music is drawn from a mix of old favourites (nursery rhymes, folk songs etc) and original songs specifically aimed at the youngest child. |

Somerset Rural Music School returns on Saturday 30 April - see you there!
Somerset Rural Music School is expanding its provision by starting Family Music.
This aims to find friendly, enjoyable ways of developing singing and musicianship, from as early an age as possible, so that by the time a youngster is ready to start instrumental or singing lessons the ability to sing in tune and maintain a pulse/count is well established.
Parental participation is actively encouraged.
Two age bands will be catered for, 3-5 years and 6-8 years.
There is a wealth of atttractive music appropriate for the veryy young (nursery rhymes/folk songs) which youngsters and parents can enjoy together. The impoortance of this cannot be overemphasised.
The cost of participation in this scheme is based on a weekly fee of £3 for a parent and child.
If you have a child of appropriate age and would like more information, please ask at the desk at the beginning of next term - Saturday 8th January 2011.
Rock School has been advertising during the holiday and it is planned to try some Beatle somgs in the Spring term starting with Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Following a review of the fees by the Committee, we have taken the decision to lower the fees for individual lessons for the 2010 Winter term.
